In ONE WEEK exactly, I will be in a crowded shopping centre, amidst thousands of Boxing Day Deal-seekers, scouring shelves for a blender. I have lived without one for a very long time, and I pine and covet and yearn and long and want for one… Oh how I want for one.
Of course, the mecca of all blenders is the VitaMix:
This powerful baby can crush ice and whole fruits and veggies and all that, but did you know that it can also HEAT soups??? That’s crazy. It’s also $750. Now, THAT’s crazy.
So I’ve been trying to find a high-end blender that doesn’t cost more than Angelo’s truck.
I kinda like Lequip Blender (as seen below)
But it’s in the $400 range… Then there’s the Blendtec… Another wonderful Industrial strength blender that costs hundreds of dollars:
And finally the more affordable $100 Kitchen Aid… Which is probably what I’ll end up getting.
I guess that’s okay. Oh who am I kidding? It’ll be absolutely wonderful. I’ll make so many tasty treats… Smoothies and soups and guac to eat… Oh my oh my, I can’t wait. I’ll blend batter for cookies and cake, I’ll make my own nut butters, and make banana ice cream too! What joy, what fun, the things I shall do. Hurry up Christmas, be over and done, then the true meaning of the season, where I will purchase my fun!
