The bedroom is coming along. That is to say, we made a huge push last weekend, and haven’t really looked at it since. But it’s almost there. It looks great. Pictures to come.
I’ve been thinking about the house more and more, thinking about what needs to be done, and the fact that we don’t really have a plan with budgets and time frames. It’s a little daunting.
Also, we need to figure out what we want for this house. I mean, if I was really designing the kitchen for me, I’d get rid of those humongous appliances and get a small, energy efficient fridge and stove; I’d remove all the top cabinetry; I’d have extensive space for herbs and window ledge gardens; I’d paint the walls yellow and have red lacquer bottom cabinets, with a black and white checker tiled backsplash. It would be rad. But I can’t do that, on account of resale and all. We need to keep the colours neutral, we need wall to wall cabinetry for that illusion of the more storage the better, we need a place for a microwave (which we don’t own).
Basically, we need to stop thinking about living in this house, and start thinking about selling it.
